When I Finished the Quran

I was finishing the quran

I couldn't believe it

everyone was coming

all my cousins and relatives came

I was nervous and happy at the same time

everyone was surrounding me

I felt small and vulnerable like a small insect

until i started to read.

my fingers were trembling

my body was shaking

I was reading slowly

my heart was beating faster

and each time i felt smaller

my hair stood up

As I read the last word I felt happy and fresh

Everyone cheered and clapped

I looked up and couldn't believe it

and then I looked back down

and saw pink notes and red notes and coins falling into my pocket.

I felt like a millionaire

then I felt embarrassed

and all I saw were people patting my back

I felt like a completely new person

that was the best day of my life.
